Given the day we had yesterday and the night we had last night we elected to just stay close the hotel room today and let everyone rest.
Good thing we did, for Scott's sake anyways. He threw up at breakfast and then blew out his diaper again around midday. Pretty awesome.
Sonia came over this afternoon. Everyone except Scott and Micah went out exploring this evening, including a ride on the Chongqing monorail.

Perhaps everyone that travels to a foreign country feels the same way but I find China to be a real assault on the senses. Everything tastes "Chinese", there's constant honking and squealing brakes, cigarette smoke everywhere, smog, constant sound of people speaking Chinese in my ears, every building has either too much heat or no heat, you can't just drink a glass of water, etc... It doesn't even matter how much you're enjoying it all, the fact is it's different and you find yourself just looking for something "normal" for a sensory breather. Today, lounging around the hotel room with Scott served as such a breather for me, it was welcome.
Tomorrow we get Jacob. Heather and I discussed on the way to Chongqing how the easiest part of this trip is now behind us. I guess we'll see. Either way we pray for God's grace in raising these children, we'll sure need it.
